Connections to the Campus
The atrium of the addition was structured in glass - this allows the life inside the building to connect to the Campus and for the Campus to connect to the life inside building.
Details of an Entry
As a side entry to the addition, we made a beautiful stainless steel and glass canopy. Combined with recessed floor lighting, the courtyard entry became a beautifully detailed experience for the building.
Focal Points in the Atrium
The experience of the atrium allows for student interaction. The support of the stair becomes a sculptural focal point. Simple details enliven a space an create beautiful places for human interaction.
Gathering Spaces
The “loft” in the atrium space allows for a beautiful connection and view out over the campus.
